Sagar Shah, MD
Dr. Shah was born and raised in Chicago suburbs and went on to undergraduate studies at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and then pursued a Master in Public Health degree in public health at University of Illinois Chicago pursuing research assistantships in disability studies as well as clinical neuroscience research. After this, he worked in hospital administration as a clinical analyst and ultimately decided to study medicine which took him to Ross University where he did his basic sciences on the Dominica campus and then did clinical rotations in Chicago and New York City. He moved to Indianapolis for internal medicine training at St. Vincent Indianapolis. After residency, he decided to pursue a career as a hospitalist and worked at NorthShore University Health System before moving west to the Bay Area. He has been working with various hospitals in the greater bay area before joining the group at Peninsula Hospitalist Association.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Shah has an interest in informatics, quality of care and patient safety matters. He enjoys live music and spending time with his wife and daughter.
