Richard Liu, DO
Dr. Liu grew up in the bay area next door to Apple computers and Steve Jobs. He went to undergrad at UCSD before heading to the midwest for medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
After completing medical school, he served as a flight surgeon in the US Navy. When he wasn't seeing patients in clinic, he was performing homeland security patrols with the Coast Guard in the skies over Chicago.
Upon the completion of his time in the Navy, Richard then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco. He then became the chief resident before coming to Peninsula Hospital in 2009 to practice hospital medicine.
Dr. Liu currently works full-time as a hospitalist and part time in Medical informatics where he works on improving the electronic health record system utilized by Sutter Health.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time exploring the city with his wife.
